Alrighty, here's the gist:
- no character may have a combination of
the following powers (unless they are trackers which is canon only) - again, one power per character!
- your power becomes your member group
- this list is so everyone can understand what each member group means.
- this is a MUST READ
- if you have any questions, post them on the 'suggestions and questions' board
or PM your question to one of the staff members. - we keep an eye on what happens in the threads! that means that if you
aren't following the description of you characters particular group we'll know!
TRACKERS:[/size]
When the Division finally figured out how to make a psychic survive the treatment that makes them stronger and smarter, they decided to go further with the experimentation. Of course, that wasn’t enough. They took the few that survived the treatment and began injecting them with genes from the other types. Several died, but a few lived. They labeled this a huge success and went on from there. They soon discovered they could inject the same DNA from all types into normal human beings. To make one super-psychic. That’s right, these…machines, have it all. They are the ultimate pushers, bleeders, movers, shadows, shifters, stitchers, watchers and wipers. In other words, they are the worlds deadliest weapon. The only upside: there are only four in the world, since the experiment, though it was 'perfected', is currently being tested with these four Trackers remaining in the United States trapping, killing, and kidnapping any and all other psychics. Let's hope your name never shows up on their data screens...
Trackers are very complex. Though they may act like normal humans, they are originally people who did not have any powers, nor did it run in their family, and were people that were found barely hanging onto life or in a coma. These people were then given completely new organs, injected (as stated before) with the genes of those who do have powers, and were basically given new bodies and new minds. They have no memory of their previous life so in a way, it is like they are starting over. They are five hundred times stronger, faster, stealthier, and smarter than an average person-or an average gifted person. They have bones made out of the same material as airplanes and space shuttles and are virtually indestructable. The only way to kill them is by giving them a lethal injection-which the lab where they were created only contains the world's strongest poison: clostridum botulanism.
They also have what is called a 'screen' which is much like them simply giving a twitch of their finger and a holographic screen coming up over their eyes that they can only see. These screens usually gives them all the information they need in order to track someone down. They can find out their entire history, all their government information, and basically anything and everything that is one file. Which is another plus according to the government.
Again pray you don't end up meeting one of them...
BLEEDERS:
Bleeders have the ability to scream or shout at frequencies capable of shattering solid objects—such as glass—and inflict lethal damage on living things by causing blood vessels and organs to explode. The first effect is bleeding of the ears and popping of blood vessels in the back. The process is extremely painful and can be used as a sort of torture. Bleeders have to ability to choose whether to attack their entire surroundings or simply one individual target.
MOVERS:
Basically your modern day telekinetic, movers can control the movement of objects with thoughts and simple hand gestures. Not only can they move said objects but they are also capable of manipulating the object, such as unscrewing the cap on a bottle or shooting a gun. Movers can also use this ability to protect themselves from things like bullets by creating a sort of force shield around themselves. These force shields may also be sent out in blasts to inflict damage upon a target.
PUSHERS:
Pushers are able to force certain thoughts, memories, or suggestions into ones mind. Basically they can control what one is thinking, or make one do anything they want them to – mind control. They are also capable of rearranging a person’s entire memory and making them think something else happened such as the death of a parent or the existence ( or lack thereof ) of a sibling and the causes of such an event. When pushers exercise this ability their pupils dilate ranging from ever so slightly to their entire eye. They can use this ability against other pushers. It’s basically modern day hypnosis.
SHADOWS:
Shadows can shield individuals or objects from clairvoyants, such as sniffs or watchers. Shadows can block Sniffs indefinitely but eventually a Watcher will be able to see through the shielding. The cover is normally a twenty to fifty foot radius. Other than that shadows are incapable of any other psychic ability. Though keeping a Shadow nearby may come in handy when running from a Tracker.
SHIFTERS:
Shifters can convincingly alter the appearance of objects and use them for their own gain. The initial objects, however, must have the same size or appearance as the desired final fake object. For example, they can take regular slips of paper and make them look like cash. Or take a regular suitcase and make it look like one that might hold something valuable. The objects that have been shifted can only be shifted back by another shifter.
SNIFFS:
Sniffs are modern day clairvoyants. They can track people and objects through sniffing an object their target has touched. Sniffing the object gives the sniff the ability to see the objects history as well as see briefly into their targets future and note their location. Regular or recent use of the object can increase the effectiveness of the sniff’s ability. This is also known as Psychometry.
STITCHES:
Stitches are just what the doctor ordered…literally. With a simple touch they have the ability to reconstruct cells to a more healthy state. But the process is painful, normally the sticthee goes through the same amount of pain healing as they did getting the original injury. It’s worth it. Stitches can heal things that most normal doctors can’t. However stitches can also undo whatever healing they have performed, putting the patient back into whatever condition they were originally. They cannot create an injury.
WATCHERS:
Watchers are far more versatile clairvoyants than Sniffs. They only need a rough idea or their target. Their visions are more complex, however, so they typically draw or sketch whatever it is they have seen. If something happens to change the future, their visions will change to follow the path as it has changed. The visions strength relies solely on the watchers ability. The only downfall is, if the target does not make the decision on where they are going or what they will do, by following instructors or suffering from amnesia, the future cannot be followed.
WIPERS:
Wipers have the ability to remove or ‘wipe’ certain periods of time from a person’s mind. If someone wishes to evade a watcher they often seek out wipers to disrupt their surveillance. This is done through close contact, typically a touch to the head. And the periods range from minutes to years. They do not, however, have the ability to return the memories or replace them, as pushers do.
